UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS BAHASA INGGRIS MAHASISWA JURUSAN BAHASA INGGRIS FBS UNIMED MELALUI P.A.K

The objective of this research is to know the effectiveness of Error Analysis method in improving the students ability in Writing subject and know the students perception toward the Error Analysis method. The subject of the research is the first semester students who take Writing I subject of English Department of FBS UNIMED. The data are collected by test and. The test is used to know the students ability in Writing I subject and the questionnaire is used to know the students perception toward the Error Analysis method. Then both types of data are analyzed by simple statistical percentage analysis. The research results in that first the implementation of Error Analysis method is effective because there is a significant improvement of the students ability in Writing I subjects from 62,63 (poor) before treatment to be 16,51 (good) after treatment and second the students perception toward the Error Analysis method is good and positive, third the most difficult to do in the learning model is omission, fourth level of students activeness is 94,58% of the total meeting, and finally the dominant activity observed during the learning is students expressing their comment reaching 31,87% of the four options.
