HUBUNGAN PENGUASAAN KOSAKATA DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS NASKAH DRAMA SISWA KELAS XI SMA YAPIM MEDAN TAHUN PEMBELAJARAN 2013/2014

This purpose of this study was (1) to describe the mastery of vocabulary, (2) to describe the ability to write drama script, (3) to desribe the coordination (relationship) between the mastery of vocabulary and the ablity to write drama script. The population of this descriptive study was 93 persons and all of them were selected to be the samples for this study through total sampling technique. Based on the result of data analysis using SPSS 18.0, it concluded that:(1). The count average of the mastery of vocabulary was 69.28, (2) the count average of the ability to write drama script was 75.27, and (3) the correlation value was 0.81 (0.808). Based on the correlation value above where rh 0.81 > rt 0.195 at level of significance 0.05 and 0.256 at level of significance 0.01, it was found out that there was a strong relationship between the mastery of vocabulary and the ability to writedrama script. Based on the result of linear regression significance test analysis, it was found out that Sig. < 0.05 indicating that the regression was significant. Through the analysis using SPSS 18.0, it was obtained that th was 4.085 > tt therefore it was proven that Sig. 0.00 < 0.05. The conclusion drawn is that there is a strong correlation (relationship) between the mastery of vocabulary and the ability to writedrama script. Therefore, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted.
