Abstract

Yang menjadi masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan masih kurang kondusif, siswa belum dilibatkan secara aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa, masih banyak siswa yang nilainya belum tuntas atau masih di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah ada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran learning starts with a question pada mata pelajaran IPA Kelas V SD Negeri 101869 Batang Kuis Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran learning starts with a question pada mata pelajaran IPA Kelas V SD Negeri 101869 Batang Kuis Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101869 Batang Kuis Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 38 orang, yang terdiri dari 16 siswa laki-laki dan 22 siswa perempuan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat Tahap yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi / evaluasi. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi. Temuan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu hasil belajar dari setiap siklus dengan kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 70 meningkat, dimana diperoleh prosentase ketuntasan pada siklus I mencapai 50% dan prosentase ketuntasan pada siklus II mencapai 92,11%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran Learning Start with a Question dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa IPA dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomtorik materi proses pembentukan tanah kelas V SD Negeri 101869 Batang Kuis Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013.
