Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 050719 Desa Tamaran, jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual komponen konstruktivisme pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SD. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 30 orang Tahun Ajaran 2011-2012. penentuan kelas ini diambil berdasarkan hasil pengamatan terhadap kelas yang akan diteliti dan peneliti melihat rendahnya kemampuan belajar siswa dalam mengungkapkan pendapat dalam bentuk tulisan, serta guru kurang bervariasi menggunakan metode dan kurangnya minat belajar siswa pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Pelaksanaan PTK dilakukan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Dimana observasi meliputi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, sedangkan dokumentasi yaitu gambar-gambar guru dan siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung.Penenlitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual komponen konstruktivisme untuk meningkatkan kemampuan belajar siswa pada materi cerita rakyat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada saat pre tes sebelum dilakukan tindakan diperoleh dari 30 orang siswa 5 siswa (16,66%) yang memenuhi ketuntasan belajar dengan nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 50.73, dan 25 siswa (83,33%) tidak memenuhi ketuntasan belajar, selanjutnya pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 64,5, dengan tingkat belajar siswa dari 30 orang siswa sebesar 66,66% atau sebanyak 20 siswa yang memenuhi ketuntasan belajar dan 10 siswa (33,33%) tidak memenuhi ketuntasan belajar. Pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas meningkat menjadi 73,13 dengan tingkat belajar siswa dari 30 orang siswa sebanyak 28 siswa yang memenuhi ketuntasan belajar dan 2 siswa (6,66%) tidak tuntas. Jadi dapat dikataan pada siklus II bahwa kemampuan siswa meningkat dalam mengungkapkan pendapat dalam bentuk tulisan.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan kontekstual komponen konstruktivisme dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa mengungkapkan pendapat dalam bentuk tulisan materi cerita rakyat di kelas V SD Negeri 050719 Desa Tamaran Tahun Ajaran 2011-2012.
