Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia dianggap oleh banyak kalangan masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari lulusan sekolah yang belum dapat bersaing di dunia kerja. Kemerosotan kualitas pendidikan ini salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh rendahnya sikap profesionalisme guru dalam proses pembelajaran bagi siswa. Profesionalisme guru merupakan kondisi, arah, nilai, tujuan dan kualitas suatu keahlian dan kewenangan dalam bidang pendidikan dan pengajaran yang berkaitan dengan pekerjaan seseorang yang menjadi mata pencaharian. Profesionalisme guru yang dimaksud dalam skripsi ini adalah guru IPS yang profesional. Adapun guru profesional itu sendiri adalah guru yang berkualitas, berkompetensi, dan guru yang dikehendaki untuk mendatangkan hasil belajar serta mampu mempengaruhi proses belajar mengajar siswa, yang nantinya akan menghasilkan hasil belajar siswa yang lebih baik. Kompetensi guru yang diteliti meliputi empat kategori. Pertama, kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan program belajar mengajar. Kedua, kemampuan guru dalam menguasai bahan pelajaran. Ketiga, kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan dan memimpin/mengelola proses belajar mengajar. Dan keempat, kemampuan dalam menilai kemajuan proses belajar mengajar. Prestasi belajar adalah hasil belajar yang dicapai setelah melalui proses kegiatan belajar mengajar.Hasil belajar siswa dapat ditunjukkan dalam bentuk nilai yang diberikan guru berupa raport yang merupakan hasil dari beberapa bidang studi yang telah dipelajari oleh peserta didik. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan dua bentuk metode penelitian. Pertama, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian library research, melalui penelitian ini penulis berusaha mengkaji buku-buku serta tulisan ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini. Kedua, menggunakan penelitian field research, yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan secara langsung ke SD Negeri 101775. Teknik pengumpulan data yang penulis lakukan yaitu melalui angket yang diberikan kepada peserta didik kelas V, kemudian dengan studi dokumentasi. Setelah data-data tersebut diperoleh, penulis menganalisis data dan melakukan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan rumus product moment dan menggunakan rumus Koefisien Determinasi untuk mengetahui kontribusi kedua variabel X dan Y. Selanjutnya peneliti menyimpulkan hasil penelitian dalam bentuk analisis interpretasi data. Setelah penelitian ini dilakukan, peneliti memperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara profesionalisme guru dalam bidang studi IPS dengan hasil belajar siswa di SD Negeri 101775 Sampali. Kontribusi profesionalisme guru IPS terhadap hasil belajar siswa adalah 96%. Dengan kata lain, hasil belajar siswa di SD Negeri 101775 ditentukan atau dipengaruhi oleh tingkat profesionalisme guru sebanyak 96%,dan 4% lagi ditentukan oleh faktor yang lain.
