Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah penerapan strategi pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar IPS pokok bahasan sumber daya alam dan kegiatan ekonomi pada siswa kelas IV SDN 024868 Binjai tahun ajaran 2015-2016? Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar IPS pokok bahasan sumber daya alam dan kegiatan ekonomi dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) pada siswa kelas IV SDN 024868 Binjai tahun ajaran 2015-2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) pada motivasi belajar siklus I pertemuan I motivasi belajar siswa terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I pertemuan I terdapat 8 orang siswa dalam kategori baik, 17 orang siswa dalam kategori cukup dan 5 orang siswa dalam kategori kurang, sedangkan pada siklus I pertemuan II mengalami perubahan menjadi 10 orang siswa kategori tingkat motivasi baik, 16 orang siswa kategori cukup dan 4 orang siswa dalam kategori tingkat motivasi belajar cukup, sedangkan pada siklus II pertemuan I terdapat 7 orang siswa (23%) kategori tingkat motivasi belajar sangat baik, 19 orang siswa (63%) kategori tingkat motivasi belajar Baik dan 4 orang siswa (13%) kategori tingkat motivasi belajar cukup, sedangkan pertemuan II terdapat 15 orang siswa (50%) kategori tingkat motivasi belajar sangat baik, 13 orang siswa (43%) kategori tingkat motivasi belajar baik dan 2 orang siswa (6%) kategori tingkat motivasi belajar cukup, (2) pada hasil belajar siswa siklus I terdapat 21 orang siswa yang termasuk dalam kriteria tuntas atau dapat dikatakan 70 dan siswa yang tidak tuntas dalam belajar berjumlah 9 orang (30%) Nilai rata-rata siswa secara keseluruhan adalah 70% dan ketuntasan secara klasikal adalah 70%, sedangkan pada siklus II hasil postes siklus II mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan postes siklus I. pada hasil belajar siklus II terdapat 28 orang siswa yang termasuk dalam kriteria tuntas atau dapat dikatakan 93% siswa dan siswa yang tidak tuntas dalam belajar berjumlah 2 orang (7%). Nilai rata-rata siswa secara keseluruhan adalah 86%. dan ketuntasan secara klasikal adalah 93%.Hal ini membuktikan bahwa bahwa siklus selanjutnya tidak perlu dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning (CTL) telah terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar IPS pada siswa kelas IV SDN 024868 Binjai tahun ajaran 2015-2016.
