Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1) to analyze the stages of writing are developed by a 7 year old student
with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), 2) to describe the student’s writing developed, 3) to elaborate in
what component the writing developed by the autistic student. This study is conducted by using

that student got difficulty in writing, even copying his teacher’s writing from the white board to his note

Based on this research, it is suggested that in order to help autistic student to write, the teacher should
facilitate him the book which is full of picture. It is proven by the development of his writing. From the
stage of writing, his writing is developed from emergent writing to transitional writing.
