Abstract

This research has aims to develop English writing worksheet for grade eleventh students of culinary program at SMK Negeri 10 Medan. The objective of this study is to develop appropriate English writing worksheet of procedure text for culinary program students at SMK Negeri 10 Medan. This research was conducted by Research and Development (R&D) through six phases; 1) gathering information and data, 2) analyzing data, 3) developing procedure text worksheet, 4) validating by experts, 5) revising procedure text worksheet, 6) final product. The data of this research were from the existing worksheet, syllabus, students’ questionnaire and teacher’s interview. The students’ questionnaire has been given to the 33 students of culinary program. The result of this study shows that the existing worksheets are not appropriate with the culinary program. The data from need analysis was analyzed using frequency and percentage, then the result were used to developed English writing procedure texts. The procedure text worksheet for writing skill were validated by English lecturer and English teacher. Both of them agreed that the new procedure text worksheets were appropriate for the culinary students based on their needs which proved by the average score gotten is 9.25%. t is cate ori ed ery ood’ since the ean is within the interval . . . The writing worksheets consist o a unit. n the unit o war in u , let’s writin and let’s evaluate.
