Abstract

This study aims to to describe how the teacher manages the classroom in the teaching of reading comprehension. This study was conducted in qualitative method with descriptive qualitative design. An English teacher of grade VIII of SMPN IV Tebing Tinggi was observed to find out the reason the teacher does it the way she does. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that teacher does the classroom management in the way she does because the classroom management needs large attention. In the class, the teacher always responds the students’ complain about the unsatisfied classroom. They also ask the studentsd to prepare their own classroom. By asking the students work together, the teacher succesfully makes the students to be a part of the classroom
