Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah “Rendahnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran akuntansi”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa dengan menerapakan kolaborasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan group investigation di SMA Swasta Parulian 2 Medan pada T.A 2011/2012. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Swasta Swasta Parulian 2 Medan yang beralamat di Jl. Garuda Raya Medan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IS yang berjumlah 48 orang. Objek dalam penelitian adalah penerapan kolaborasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan group investigation dalam upaya meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar akuntansi siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan observasi. Tes yang digunakan adalah essay test yang diambil dari buku paket siswa. Observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dilakukan secara langsung pada saat proses belajar mengajar dengan menerapkan kolaborasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan group investigation. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, terjadi peningkatan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I dengan rata-rata 46,75% menjadi 64,06%. Dari hasil analisis tersebut, peningkatan aktivitas sebesar 17,31%. Sedangkan hasil tes yang dilaksanakan, terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yaitu dari 48 siswa hanya 23 siswa (47.92%) siswa yang tuntas belajar pada siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata 74.27 menjadi 40 siswa (83,33%) pada siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 82,58. Sebagai indikator ketuntasan belajar klasikal ditetapkan 70% siswa memperoleh nilai 78. Pengujian signifikansi hasil belajar siswa dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t dengan dk= n¬1+ n2-2 pada α =0,05. Dari data perhitungan diperoleh thitung = 5,16 dan ttabel = 1,99. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan thitung > ttabel yaitu 5,16 > 1,99. Dengan kata lain terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan kolaborasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan group investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada standar kompetensi menyusun jurnal penyesuaian perusahaan jasa di kelas XI IS SMA Swasta Parulian 2 Medan Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Hal ini berarti bahwa kolaborasi model pembelajaran snowball throwing dan group investigation dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran akuntansi.
