Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know whether the increasing of student learning outcomes and student learning activity which is in teaching of CTL approaching implementation by e-learning based on weblog is higher than increasing of student learning outcomes which is in teaching of CTL approaching implementation without e-learning based on weblog towards the reaction rate chapter. The population in this research is all the students of XI IPA MAN 1 Medan which consist of 6 classes with amount 240 students. By using purposive sampling technique with amount 2 classes, they are Experiment Class I that given CTL approaching implementation teaching by e-learning based on weblog, and Experiment Class II that given CTL approaching implementation teaching without e-learning based on weblog. Based on the data obtained, the average of chemistry learning outcomes in Experiment Class I is 0.750, it is higher than Experiment Class II that is 0.546. The increasing of chemistry learning outcomes in Experiment Class I is 75% while in Experiment Class II is 54.6% with differences 20.4%. Both experiment classes were tested with t-test in right side and gained the increasing of learning outcomes with tstatistics > ttable (10.605 > 1.667) and learning activity value was tstatistics > ttable (6,324 > 1,667), it means the increasing of student learning outcomes and learning activity which is in teaching of CTL approaching implementation by e-learning based on weblog is higher than student learning activity which is in teaching of CTL approaching implementation without e-learning based on weblog towards the reaction rate chapter.
