Abstract
Most of teacher use conventional approach in teaching and learning. It is also happen in teaching and learning mathematics, therefore students feel bored. To overcome this trouble, I think that we should use teaching strategy which is makes student enjoy. One of strategy which is support student active is cooperative learning. There many kind of type in cooperative learning, Jigzaw is one of that type. The method of the research is case study. The object research was students in state senior high school I South Tangerang, that is class X. Instruments: test geometry and interview sheet. Tests geometry measure the ability of the material geometry on the distance between points, lines and areas. Using = 0.05, by comparing mean Test I and Test II using t-test and value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0.00 < = 0.05, then H0 is rejected, in other words that there are significant differences between test I and test II. Knowing that mean test II > mean test I, show that Cooperative Learning type Jigsaw can improve students understanding in geometry.
