Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know, the increase student’s speaking skill by using the game technic. The subject of the research is the fourth semester student language class of SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The data are collected by test and the test is used to know the students ability in speaking subject and the questonaire is used to now the student perception toward the game technic. Then both types of data are analysed by simple statistical percentage analysis. The research results in that the first the implementation of the game technic is effective because there is significant improvement of the student ability in speaking from 62,21 (poor) before treatment to be 82,58 (good) after treatment and second the students perception toward the game technic method good and positive. Finally the students are truly active and enthusiastic for the class and it can be seen their attendance teaching 94,58 in average. Expression student’s opinion and comments in the most dominant activity done by students reaching 31,27 in average.
