Developing Digital Worksheet with BookWidgets in Writing Descriptive Text for Junior High School

This research focuses on the development of digital worksheets with BookWidgets
to support students' ability in writing descriptive texts at the junior high school
level. This research was conducted based on the needs for more interactive and
engaging learning media to support students in developing their writing skills.
This digital worksheet with BookWidgets has been developed based on the
students' learning needs and wants. The purpose of this research is to develop
digital worksheets that are more engaging and appropriate for practicing
descriptive text writing skills. This research used the Research and Development
(R&D) method adapted from the Borg and Gall model. The procedures include
collecting data and information, analyze the data, product design, validated by the
experts, revision product, and final product. The data were collected through
questionnaires, interviews, and expert validation sheets involving English
teachers, seventh grade H students, and the experts. The results of the research
indicate that the developed digital worksheet is considered highly valid and
appropriate to use in the teaching and learning process. The integration of various
interactive features provided by BookWidgets increases students' engagement and
motivation in learning descriptive writing. This research concludes that digital
worksheet developed with BookWidgets are an effective and appropriate learning
for supporting students in learning to write descriptive texts. This research
demonstrates that technology based learning media can provide a more engaging
and accessible learning experience and improve students' writing skills.
