Abstract
Understanding the concept of chemical bonds is often a challenge for students because the material is abstract and demands strong concept visualization skills. Therefore, learning media innovations are needed that are able to help students understand concepts while increasing involvement in the learning process. This research aims to develop digital comic learning media integrated with spiritual values in chemical bonding materials for high school students. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages, but this research is limited to the develop stage. Data collection was carried out through needs analysis questionnaires, expert validation instruments, practicality assessment questionnaires by teachers, and student response questionnaires. The validation process involves chemical subject matter experts, learning media experts, and spiritual value integration experts. The results of the study show that the digital comic media developed meets the eligibility criteria. The validation results obtained an average Aiken's V score of 0.89 which is in the very valid category. The practicality test by the chemistry teacher showed an average score of 3.65 which was in the category of very practical. In addition, student responses showed an average percentage of 78.65% who were in the positive category. These results show that digital comics integrated with spiritual values have the potential to be an effective learning medium in helping to understand the concept of chemical bonding while fostering students' spiritual awareness.
