Abstract
This study aims to analyze how the oppression of black women slaves in the
film Harriet by Kasi Lemmons by using the triple oppression theory. This
research is qualitative research using a content analysis approach. The subject
of this research is the dialogue or narration in the film Harriet. The data
collection technique is first classified which is then explained. The data
analysis technique is to copy the dialogue or narration in the film and make
observations on words or sentences, then classify and identify the data. The
results showed ten data containing oppression in the film Harriet by Kasi
Lemmons, they are racism, sexism, and classism. How did black women fight
against this oppression, and why did they fight against it.
