Representation of Sexual Violence in “Bombshell” Movie: A Qualitative Study

The objectives of the study were to investigate the types of sexual violence from
the utterances and the realization of the sexual violence found in Bombshell
movie. The study was conducted using descriptive qualitative approach. The data
of this study were the utterances that appeared in Bombshell that finally
categorized into kinds of sexual violence based on the theory of Evan Stark
(2007). The data analysis was taken by familiarizing data, initializing, generating,
reviewing, defining and naming themes and producing based on the theory of
Braun and Clark (2006). The findings showed that there were three types of
sexual violence and the most frequently type was violence one.
