Abstract

The Implementation of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) In Teaching Descriptive Text Writing In o Grade VII At SMP Negeri 3 Medan. Siti Rahmah Purba. This study aims to explore the implementation of Technological
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in teaching descriptive text writing in Grade VII at SMP Negeri 3 Medan. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this research examines the teacher's TPACK skills and their application in a lesson on descriptive text writing. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation of the lesson. The results showed that the first teacher only
found 5 elements out of 7 TPACK elements namely TK, PK, CK, TPK, PCK and two elements that were not found were TCK and TPACK. However, all TPACK elements were found in the second teacher in teaching descriptive text. As for the TPACK process in teaching text description, the first teacher experienced obstacles in the use and utilization of technology. And no problems were found in the process of applying TPACK in teaching in the second teacher. This study
contributes to the understanding of TPACK implementation in Indonesian education, highlighting the importance of integrating technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge in teaching practices. The findings also suggest that professional development opportunities should be provided to enhance teachers' TPACK skills and support them in ffectively implementing TPACK in their teaching practices.
