Abstract
The aim of this research was to provide an appropriate media for writing
descriptive text based on learning styles. This study was carried at SMP
Muhammadiyah 01 in Medan. This research was conducted by using Research
and Development (R&D) Method. The research of Research and Development
which contained six steps; (1) gathering information and data, (2) analyzing data,
(3) designing material, (4) validating by the experts, (5) revising material, and the
last was (6) final product. The data was collected via distribution of questionnaire
for students and interviewed an English teacher to determine the students' needs.
The results of the research led to the development of the e-worksheet, which may
be used as a teaching tool to help students learn to write descriptive text. The
product has been validated by two experts in percentage terms, the average score
of expert validations was 88% in content aspect, the presentation aspect was 85%,
the language aspect was 92%, and the layout was 90%. The average score was
88.8%, which was regarded as very good, and it was recommended for use in
English classes, particularly for producing descriptive text in junior high school
