REPRESENTATION OF HABITUS GAY IN THE STORY HOMICIDAL ON WATTPAD BY KTH1WD: A READERS’ RESPONSE THEORY

This research focuses on the characteristics of a habitus gay and readers' responses
to an online novel entitled Homicidal on the Wattpad application. This study aims
to (1) identify the characteristics of the habitus gay contained in the characters in
the online novel Homicidal on the Wattpad. (2) to explain the readers‘ response
toward the online novel Homicidal. This study used a qualitative descriptive
method as the research design. The data source used in this study was taken from
the reading platform, namely the Wattpad application. The first finding shows
there are five of the seven characters have the characteristics of a gay, including
Jungkook with 5 characteristics of a habitus gay, Taehyung with 2 characteristics
of a habitus gay, Mr. Yang with 2 characteristics of a habitus gay, Jimin with 1
characteristic of habitus gay, and Yoongi with 1 characteristic of habitus gay.
Meanwhile, the second finding shows three types of reader responses, 1 reader is
