Abstract

Assessment Competence Minimum (AKM) is an assessment designed to encourage the implementation of innovative learning oriented towards the development of reasoning skills and improving students' literacy skills. The purpose of this study was 1) analyze the development process of the AKM assessment instrument of text-based fiction works of students of VIII grade in SMP Negeri 27 Medan, 2) analyze the development product of the AKM assessment instrument of text-based fiction works material of VIII students in SMP Negeri 27 Medan, 3) analyze the feasibility of the AKM assessment instrument of text-based fiction works material of VIII students in SMP Negeri 27 Medan, and 4) analyze the effectiveness of the AKM assessment instrument of text-based fiction works of students of class VIII in SMP Negeri 27 Medan. This research method is Thiagarajan's 4-D development model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate steps. The feasibility of the AKM assessment instrument of text-based works of fiction using expert validator assessment of the material and evaluation of learning are in the categories of good and excellent. Attitude assessment and competence assessment of knowledge and skills after using the AKM assessment booklet of text-based fiction works materials in students went effectively in grades VIII-6 of SMP Negeri 27 Medan.
