Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of class X BDP on employment in the subject of Business Economics. The purpose of this study was to find out and apply Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Problem Based Learning models to improve learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi Jln. Letda Sujono, Bulian, Kec.Batipe Kota Tebing Tinggi, North Sumatra Academic Year 2022/2023. The research subjects were students of class X BDP SMK Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi which consisted of 2 classes with a total of 72 students. The techniques used in data collection are observation and learning achievement tests. Based on the hypothesis test, the learning outcomes of students taught using the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model in class X BDP Employment Materials at Tebing Tinggi 1 State Vocational School obtained an average pretest score of 55.27 with a standard deviation of 7.362 and a variance value of 54.206 and obtained a value post-test average 83.75 with a standard deviation of 4.371 where the variance value is 19.10. The learning outcomes of students who were taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on employment material for class X BDP SMK Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi obtained an average pretest score of 51.69 with a standard deviation of 9.218 and a variance value of 43.98. and obtained an average post-test value of 76.36 with a standard deviation of 5.497 where the variance value is 30.21. Student learning outcomes increase in student learning outcomes taught using the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model is higher than the learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This is known by looking at the percentage increase in learning outcomes in experimental class I taught using the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model was 34.5% and the percentage increase in learning outcomes in experiment II taught with Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning was 32.30%.
