Abstract
This study aims to determine: (1) the implementation of online learning during the
pandemic in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects and (2) the perceptions of
students, teachers and parents in terms of attitudes and commitments during
online learning, supporting facilities for online learning and obstacles during
implementation. online learning.
This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, conducted at the Dwiwarna
Private Vocational School in Medan T.A 2020/2021, with 3 informants from class
X TITL, 1 DLE study teacher and 3 representatives of parents. The data collection
of this research was done through interviews, observation, and documentation.
The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data compilation, conclusion
drawing, and data validity.
The results of the research found: Online learning is carried out on DLE subjects
at SMK Dwiwarna, namely the implementation of learning is applied with a mix
of face-to-face (blended learning) to support the competence of the practicum
field, for online activities the teacher's strategy is to design effective and light
materials or questions which are then distributed the material through WhatsApp
or Google Classroom media, and the learning method is the assignment method.
The perceptions of students, teachers and parents regarding attitudes and
commitments that have been carried out have not been fully implemented
properly, the facilities that support online learning are quite adequate but are still a
bit of an obstacle because they always have to meet internet quotas and during
online learning they still experience difficulties such as internet quotas. minimal
understanding and delivery of material that is less than optimal, lack of parental
assistance to students, student responses that are lacking to teachers making it
difficult to assess the behavior and development of students, sometimes unstable
networks, bored students following online, and students who are lazy because
they are increasingly focused to smartphones.
