Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the influence of user competence on the effectiveness of accounting information systems, the influence of task complexity on the effectiveness of accounting information systems, and the
influence of information technology sophistication on the effectiveness of accounting information systems in Pematangsiantar City Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The number of samples used was 60 respondents. The data collection technique in this research is in the form of a questionnaire. The data obtained was analyzed using the PLS
(Partial Least Square) analysis technique via SmartPLS software. The data obtained was analyzed using the PLS Algorithm test. PLS Bootstrapping and hypothesis testing using p-value with a significance test of less than 0.05
The results of the analysis show that User Competence and Task Complexity have no influence on the Effectiveness of the Accounting Information System, while Information Technology Sophistication has a significant influence on
Pematangsiantar City MSMEs.
