Abstract
This study aims to determine the teaching materials based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on the Ionic and Covalent bond materials that will be developed have met the BSNP Standards, student responses, and the percent increase in student learning outcomes using project-based learning teaching materials on Ionic and Covalent bonding materials. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA Free Methodist Private High School Medan. The sample of this research is students of class X MIPA SMA. A total of 20 students are in one class. This study uses a non-test instrument and a test instrument, the non-test instrument used is a Validation Sheet by the Validator, and the Test Instrument used is a Pretest-Posstest. The Design for Making Teaching Materials uses a development that refers to the ADDIE model. The results of the validation feasibility show that the development of PjBL-based teaching materials on ionic and covalent bonding materials for class X is in the feasible category and does not need to be revised with an average score of 3.61 and a percent value of validation which is 91.44%. Student responses using teaching materials got 95.8% results in the appropriate category and did not need to be revised. The data collection technique was by giving pre-test and posttest, for pre-test to get an average of 50.25 and post-test 82.75. The increase in student learning outcomes is 67%. Hypothesis testing with right-hand t-test = 0.05 obtained tcount = 7,417, while ttable = 1,729. This shows that tcount > ttable, which means that students' chemistry learning outcomes using PjBL-based teaching materials are higher than the KKM score..
