Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of technical training method and achievement motivation on the player’s competence in the football skills.
This research is conducted at Unimed Football Club Medan, Sumatera Utara” 2007, using 2 x 2 factorial design. The analysis of variance between groups at level of significance α = 0,05.
The results of this research were as follow: (1) The female player’s achievement of football skills with tactical opproach methode was more effective than drill opproach method; (2) The female player’s who had high achievement motivation with tactical opproach method obtained significantly higher achievement in football skills than drill opproach method; (3) There were not significantly different between achievement in football skills of the female players who have low achievement motivation with tactical opproach method and drill oproach method; (4) There was a positive interaction between training method and achievement motivation on female player’s achievement in football skills.
