Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis komponen STEAM pada buku ajar fisika kelas XI SMA meliputi materi keseimbangan dan dinamika rotasi, elastisitas bahan, fluida statik, fluida dinamik, kalor, teori kinetik gas, termodinamika, karakteristik gelombang mekanik, gelombang berjalan dan gelombang stasioner, gelombang bunyi dan cahaya, alat – alat optik, dan gejala pemanasan global. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari lima penerbit buku. Dari hasil analisis dengan indikator STEAM diperoleh sebagai berikut: 60% memuat kategori science, 30% memuat technology, 30% memuat kategori engineering, 50% memuat kategori art, 50% mathematics. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar fisika yang beredar umumnya belum menekankan pada pendekatan STEAM.
