Abstract
This research was conducted for development of teaching materials based on science literacy on Chemical Nomenclature. Teaching materials (article) developed accordingly R&D scheme and using literacy assessment indicators and testing their advisability in order to know the effect on student learning outcomes. The characteristics of science literacy based teaching material (article) on Chemical Nomenclature which was developed has comparison 33% ; 16,25% : 16,25% : 15% and has fulfilled the ideal composition of aspects of scientific literacy 2 : 1 : 1 : 1. The advisability of development of science literacy based teaching material (article) get a percentage of 79.66% which means it's worth a good predicate. There is a significant influence of development of science literacy based teaching material for grade X high school on Chemical Nomenclature towards student learning outcomes with p=0,0001.
