The Translation Quality and Techniques in Bilingual Textbook of Economic for Seventh Grade Junior High School

The research dealt with economics used with the aims of the study were to describe translation quality and techniques of economic used in the bilingual textbook of Economic for Seventh Grade of Junior High School. The data of this study were economic used and there was bilingual textbook by Suroso, Widigdo, R.A (2010) taken book from the book The Essential of Economics. The data were
analyzed by Molina and Albir’s translation techniques, Nababan et all translation quality and for the average quality by Sudjana theory’s. The result of this study
showed calque are dominant strategy used in economic used and that there were three aspects of quality namely the accuracy with average 2.81, the acceptability with average 2.86, and the readability with average 2.79 from scale 3. The translation quality in bilingual textbook of economic is almost accurate.
