Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know: Improvement of students critical thinking ability by using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach assisted by ICT. This research is Classroom Action Research. Subject this research is class XII MIA 2 consist of 36 students. Object this research is improving students critical thinking ability by (RME) approach assisted by ICT in SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi.
This research is Classroom Actio Research (CAR) consist of 2 cycle. In cycle I students critial thinking ability is not critical, the average of class is 67,78 with 18 students from 36 students, the classical completeness test of students critical thinking ability does not ≥70 which is 50%. With the result that continue to cyle II. In cycle II students critical thinking ability is Critical, the average of class is 80,07, with 31 students from 36 students, the classical completeness test of students critical thinking abiliy does not ≥70 which is 86,11% because of that the treatment is stop.
From the result of cycle I to cycle II can be conclude that by using realistic mathematics education learning approach and assisted by ICT can improve students critical thinking ability.
