Abstract

This research has been done in SMAN 1 Berastagi that have purpose to know the effect of students learning outcomes on guided inquiry learning model about sound wave topic in class XI SMAN 1 Berastagi academic year 2018/2019. The type of this research is quasi-experiment design using pre-test and post-test. The population is all students of class XI SMAN 1 Berastagi which consist of 6 classes, sample of these research are two classes, one class that is XI MIPA 4 that consist of 36 students as control class and X MIPA 2 that consist of 36 students as experiment class. The instrument of this research is essay test as ten questions. Based on this research the average of pre-test in experiment class is 39.00 and in control class is 39.08, and then the average of post-test in experiment class is 77.97 and in control class is 61.58. This research was concluded that there was effect of guided inquiry learning model toward students learning outcomes.
