Metafora Gramatikal Ideasional dalam Teks Politik Bahasa Inggris di The Jakarta Post e-Newspaper

This research deals with the realization of ideational metaphor of the types of ideational grammatical metaphor occurs in political text, to describe how the ideational grammatical metaphor are used in political text at The Jakarta e-newspaper and to reason for ideational grammatical metaphor used in the political text. Qualitative descriptive method is needed to answer this study. The data were taken from six political news from March to April 2019 that already published online from Jakarta Post e-news. The analysis of 13 types of ideational grammatical metaphor were found only 9 types. It shows that political text tent to use; type 1 the changing process from grammatical class from Adjective class to become Noun class 2.63 %. Type 2 the changing process from grammatical class from Verb class to become Noun class 13.15%. Type 3 includes the changing process from grammatical class from Prepositional phrase class to become verb class 2.63%. Type 5 the changing process from grammatical class from Verb class to become Adjective class 21.05%. Type 9 the changing process from grammatical class from Conjunction to become verb class 2.63%. Type 10 the changing process from grammatical class from conjunction to become prepositional phrase 7.89 %. Type 11 the changing process from Noun class from Noun 13.15%. Type 12 the changing process from grammatical class from verb class to become verb class 28.94%. Type 13 the changing process from Noun class to become various 7.89%. Findings showed that ideational grammatical method was able to change incongruent wording into congruent wording. Metaphor expresses something indirectly, as the result; the reader difficulties were solved and able to understand the explicit meaning of political text. Ideational metafunction made the message that political text news was more formal and more complicated than the congruent one. In order to structure them the way of political text wanted it as a tool to provoke and persuade a particular group for and against a special party and how they convey their intended outlook, ideology and worldwide to the readers.
