Abstract
Human needs to communicate with others to fulfil their needs. That is why communication becomes very important factor in human’s life especially in daily basis, and language is the tool the way to communicate. Movie is the reflection of the real situation in a society, because the directors always rely on the real condition in a society when making a movie. This thesis purposed to analyse linguistics features between man and women in movie. The study was conducting by using descriptive qualitative method. The data took from the conversations of the main character. The data were analysed based on the theory that proposed by Holmes that adopted from Lakoff. The finding indicated that there were nine of linguistics features but there are only seven of them found in the data, they were lexical hedges or fillers, tag question, emphatic stress, vernacular forms, super polite forms, empty adjective, and intensifiers. Two features that not occur are hypercorrect grammar and precise colour terms. The dominant used of linguistics features is emphatic stress that used by male character in frequency 18 and the most linguistics features that used by female character is intensifiers with the frequency 4. It shows that even man can use linguistics features more than women in which that is woman’s language features.
