Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets based on STEAM on ecosystem topics and to obtain N-gain of student’s scientific process skills after the implementation of student worksheets based on STEAM.
The development of student worksheets is carried out with the 4D model namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Student worksheet eligibility conducted by validation test by matter expert, learning expert, biology teacher, and students. Material experts and learning expert are biology lecturer. Biology teacher and student grade X MIPA 7 in SMA Negeri 1 Berastagi. Scientific process skills test conducted in early and the end of learning which analyzes with N-gain. The results obtained from eligibility of student worksheet by matter expert in the medium category, excellent category by learning expert, and excellent by the biology teacher. Eligibility of worksheet by students (36 students) in an excellent category. The N-gain score of student’s scientific process skills after using student worksheets based on STEAM in 0.5 with a medium category. Indicators of scientific process skills obtained; observation 31.8; asking question 31.4; experimenting 30.8; associating 31.6, and communicating 30.8. Two biology teachers completely agree with the final product of student worksheet based on STEAMcategorized accepted as supporting material for biology in Ecosystem topic. Student worksheets based on STEAM it is contributing to emerged students scientific process skills on ecosystem topic.
