Abstract
The research aims to find out: a significant comparison of student learning outcomes given a Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian Teen Story) and who are not given a Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian Youth Story). This type of research is quantitative research. Significant test of this study was carried out on students of class IX SMP PGRI 9 Medan. This research instrument is a test of student learning outcomes in the form of questions about the reproductive system in humans for a significant test phase Development of Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian Teen
Story) in Grade IX students of PGRI Middle School 9. The results of this study were obtained: (1) There is a significant comparison of learning outcomes students who were given a Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian Youth Story) and who were not given a Cheerful Cartoon Calendar
(Indonesian Youth Story) (t-count = 2.910; P = 0.006). Where student learning outcomes are given a Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian Teen Story) (74.03 ± 8.57) (± SD) is higher than the learning outcomes of students who are not given a Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian
Youth Story) (66.35 ± 9,12). The results of this research imply that by using the Cheerful Cartoon Calendar (Indonesian Youth Story) learning media Biology can improve the learning outcomes of grade IX junior high school students and be able to convey information on knowledge about sex education and its implications in everyday life.
