Abstract

The study aimed to determine how much influence organic fertilizer (Rabbit Manure) has on the growth of red onion (Allium ascalonicum L). this research was carried out in Lawe Sigala Timur Village, Lawe Sigala gala District, Southeast Aceh Regency on 28 September 2013 to 26 October
2013. The design used in this study was a non factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 total treatment replications were 15. Parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, wet biomass of tubers, and tuber diameter. The result of this research shows
that there is a significant influence of organic fertilizer (rabbit manure) on the onion growth, this can be seen from the Sidik Ragam analysis where Fcount> Ftable. The results showed that the highest plant height was found in giving rabbit organic fertilizer at a dose of 1500 grams + 1500
grams of mixed soil sand (P3), the lowest plant height was found in the control with a dose of 0 grams of rabbit droppings + 300 grams of sand soil mixture (P0). The highest number of leaves is found in the provision of rabbit organic fertilizer with a dose of 1500 grams + 1500 grams of sand soil mixture (P3). The lowest number of leaf petals is in the provision of rabbit organic fertilizer
with a dose of 2000 grams + 1000 grams of mixed sand soil (P4). The highest weight of wet tuber biomass is found in the provision of rabbit organic fertilizer at a dose of 500 grams + 2500 grams of mixed sand soil (P1). The highest diameter of tubers is found in the provision of rabbit organic fertilizer at a dose of 2000 grams + 1000 grams mixture of sand soil (P4), the lowest diameter is
found in the provision of rabbit organic fertilizer with a dose of 1000 grams + 2000 grams of sand soil mixture (P2).Based on the results of the study it can be concluded "There is the effect of giving rabbit manure (Oryctolagu caniales) to the growth of red onions (Allium ascalonicu) in polybags.
