Abstract
M. fortuitum is a cause of Mycobacteriosis in freshwater. This study aims to determine the ability of M. fortuitum to form biofilms on fish scales and PVC plastic surface . The formation of M.fortuitum biofilm was cultured for 1 day, 3 days, and 5 days on Nutrient Broth (NB) and then calculated the number of cells using Plate Count Agar (PCA) using the Total Plate Count (TPC) method. The results of this study showed that the highest number of biofilm cells on day 3 was 7 log CFU / fish scales plate and 5 log CFU / polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic plates.
