Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics and kinship of guava varieties in
Namoriam Pancur Batu Village, Deli Serdang District, North Sumatra. The population of this study were all guava plants in Namoriam Pancur Batu Village. This type of research is descriptive by means of obtaining data that is looking at the characteristics of fruit, seeds, leaves and stems
and adding information from previous studies. The research was conducted by observing mordology directly and documenting the parts of guava plants. Data analysis uses scoring and morphology from description to binary data. Zero score (0) if the property is not present in a plant
and skol one (1) if the property is owned by the observed plant. The magnitude of the similarity between varieties is analyzed using clusters or clusters. Cluster analysis is done with the 2.2 NTSYSpc program with the UPGMA method (Unweighted Pair Group Method of Arithmetic Average) SimQual function (Rohlf, 2000).
