Abstract
The aim of this research is to know the quality of item matter of Chemistry final examination Semester class in XI and XII science SMAN 1 Pantai Cermin in academic year 2017/2018 viewed from the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of this Research are: a matter of multiple choice of class XI analyzed in terms of material, construction, and language aspects have very high categorical content validity. While the matter of class XII description analyzed in terms of material, construction, and language have the validity of the content of low category. The distribution of the class of cognitive domain of class XI and class XII description are 2 (4%) and 1 (10%) about C1, 16 (64%) and 4 (40%), C2, and 5 (20%), %) and 3 (3%) about category C3, and 3 (12%) and (20%) about category C4. The quality of class XI and XII is reviewed from the validity aspect, which are 11 (44%) and 0 (0%) about very significant category, 3 (12%) and 2 (20%) about significant category, and 11 (44%) and 8 (80%) questions are not significant categories. Calculation of reliability aspects of class XI obtained reliability coefficient of 0.85 with high criteria and class XII of 0.57 with low criteria. Aspects of the difficulties of class XI and XII are 0 (0%) and 4 (40%) about easy category, 14 (56%) and 4 (40%) about medium category, and 11 (44%) and 2 (20% ) about the difficult category. There are 8 (32%) and 0 (0%) of excellent category, 6 (24%) and 6 (60%) of good category, 4 (16%) and 4 (40% ) about enough category, 4 (16%) and 0 (0%) about bad category, and 3 (12%) and 1 (10%) about very bad category. The effectiveness aspect is there are 14 (56%) about the effective category and 11 (44%) about bad category. Implementation of the test is quite good, because the preparation of teaching factors, especially material that has been mastered and taught the maximum in learners. The results of the study indicate that item analysis can detect deficiencies in items. Therefore, the preparation of the questions should go through the analysis phase of the items.
