Abstract
This study aims to determine: (1) learning outcomes of students taught using livewire simulation media on basic subjects of electrical and electronic learning based on material analyzing direct current electric circuits; (2) student learning outcomes taught by using proteus simulation media on basic subjects of electricity and electronics based learning material analyzing direct current electric circuits; (3) comparison of learning outcomes of students taught with livewire simulation media on problem-based learning with students taught with proteus simulation media on problem-based learning on basic subjects of electricity and electronics material analyzing direct current electric circuits.
This research is a quasi-experimental research method with Two Group and uses Pretest Posttest Design. The research subjects were all students of class X Electrical Power Installation Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan totaling 64 students. The data collected is the value of the pretest and posttest. Analysis of differences in the increase using the t test.
The results of the study revealed that: (1) the learning outcomes of livewire class students on problem-based learning to pretest the average value of 31.4 with the highest score of 54 and the lowest value of 19. For the posttest average score of 80.3 with the highest score of 96 and the value lowest 61; (2) the learning outcomes of the proteus class students on problem-based learning for the pretest average value of 30.1 with the highest score of 46 and the lowest value of 19. For the posttest average score of 63.7 with the highest value of 88 and the lowest value of 42; (3) learning outcomes of students taught with livewire simulation media on problem-based learning are higher than learning outcomes taught by using proteus simulation media on problem-based learning. This is evidenced by the results of the t test, namely that tcount> ttable at a significance level of 0.05 (19.5> 1.673)
