Abstract

This study aims to determine the different effects of using computer-based learning media (online) with the use of visual learning media (offline) on the results of learning to draw basic techniques. The samples in this study were TGB 1 class students totaling 26 people as the experimental class and 26 TGB 2 class students as the control class. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the Pre-Test and Post-Test designs. In the experimental class, the treatment was given using computer-based learning media through google classroom (online) and the control class was treated using visual learning media, which is often used in the form of modules, whiteboards (offline). The research instrument was first tested and then continued with a test of validity, reliability, difficulty index and different power questions. The results of the test results of learning to draw basic tenics from 30 test items tested were obtained 24 valid items with a reliability coefficient of 0.879 including very high. For index difficulty questions there are 26 questions that are moderate and 4 questions that are easy and the differentiating questions are 11 good questions, 12 questions are enough, 7 are bad questions. Next, before the data analysis, a normality and homogeneity test was conducted with 24 test butis that met the requirements. To test the hypothesis, one-way variance analysis is used. pre-test obtained Fcount = 0.199 <Ftable = 4.04. For post-test obtained F count = 4.13> Ftable = 4.04. H0: µ1 = µ2 is rejected and Ha: µ1 ≠ µ2 is accepted. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test the average post-test at the 95% confidence level indicates that there are significant differences. This is evidenced by tcount> t table (2,072> 1,679). Thus it can be concluded that the results of learning to draw basic techniques taught by using computer-based learning media (online) are higher than the learning outcomes taught using visual learning media (offline) class X TGB students at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan Academic Year 2018/2019.
