Abstract
This study was aimed at finding out the teacher written feedback focuses and teacher perceptions about their written feedback focuses on students writing Procedure text for Grade XI. This study used descriptive qualitative research design. The participants of this study were 2 English teacher and 27 students grade XI of SMA RK Deli Murni Bandar Baru. In this research, the data source was the students’ procedure text writing. It was collected after their writing was given written feedback by the 2 English teachers. The instruments for collecting data were documentation and interview. There are six focuses on teacher written feedback. The focuses are language form, text functions, content, creative expression, the writing process, and genre. Based on the analysis of the students’ writing, it is figured out that the teachers focus on language form, they mostly focus on vocabulary and grammar. Based on interview with both teachers, four of teachers’ perceptions namely written feedback is a very important practice in writing and perceived as a useful tool, focus on language form in their written feedback to students’ writing, students must have follow grammatical rules to write correctly and expect students to ask and consider the written feedback that they receive, the result showed that the teachers have been covered all the teachers’ perceptions of written feedback
