Abstract
The objectives of this study are: (1) to know Their achievement in Mathematics ofstudents taught by using visual media and Their achievement as students taught by usingGraphic media, (2) to know Their achievement of students in learning Mathematicshaving a highly need achievement in studying and Their achievement in Mathematics ofhaving a poorly students need in studying achievement, (3) to know available or not anInteraction Between visual media and creative thinking skills on Their need achievement inMathematics as a student.This study was conducted on the Private Elementary District Santa Maria TarutungNorth Tapanuli in half-odd of studying year 2010/2011. The population totally 83repondents. For taking samples was done in a cluster random sampling a total of 59 studentscomprising of 30 students of grade Ila to be teached by using visual media and another29 students of grade III) to be teached by using graphic media. The need studyingachievement test was conducted for classifying the students need upon a highlypoorly achievement and need achievement. The research method adopted is experimentquasi with 2 x 2 factorial. The statistical test by using descriptive statistics, ANOVA withtwo lines with a significance rate a ------ 0:05 and continued to Scheffee test. It has beenconducted an analysis with a normality test prior homogeniety test and test.The result of study showed: (1) Their achievement in Mathematics taught by usingVisual Media is better than Their achievement rate in Mathematics taught by usingGraphic Media with Feount = 11:07> = 4:02 on significance Ftabies rate a = 0.05, (2) thein studying Mathematics achievement by students having a highly need achievement isTheir better than in studying Mathematics achievement by students having a poorly needachievement, 12:16 Fcount => F = 4:02 on big significance rate a = 0.05, (3) there isInteraction Between founded visual media and creative thinking skills on Their achievementin Mathematics, with Feount = 6.60> = 4:02 on significance Ftables rate a = 0.05. ThisThat hypothesis showed visual media more acurate than the graphic media in improvingTheir achievement in Mathematics, and the students having a highly need achievement isTheir better than in studying Mathematics achievement by students having a poorly needachievement.
