Abstract
This research was conducted at Department of Chemistry Faculty of MIPA
State University of Medan, the sample of research is Bilingual Chemical Student.
This study aims to (1) To produce innovative learning material with integrated project
based learning to fulfill the standard of teaching, (2) To know student’s activity after
using innovative learning material with project based learning on the teaching of
Anion Analysis, (3) To know the student’s response of innovative learning material
with project based learning on the teaching of anion analysis. This research is
descriptive and experimental development (innovative and research). Innovative
learning material developed by integration of project in laboratory experiments.
Project in the learning material was standardized by lecturers and students with
instruments BSNP. Based on the standardization results obtained the average value of
lecturers and students is 3.61 is categorized to be very good. Projects in the learning
material was implemented by students with instrument assessment activity, based on
the result obtained average value of 88.05 for activities assessment, it is categorized
as very good. And the last, based on instrument students perception, were also asked
to give their opinions on the teaching materials that have been developed using
validated perception questionnaires, and the average student response is 88-91%.
It shows that the project in the learning material increases student activity in
learning and it is as used tool to facilitate students in learning. Students give positive
response for innovative learning material with project based learning.
