Abstract
Indonesia is the world's largest archipelagic country with a long coastline of 81,000 km and has more than 17,508 islands. Indonesia's marine territory stretches an area of 5.8 million km², which consists of a sea area of about 1 million km² and 2.7 million km² are the territory of the exclusive economic zone. Indonesia as an archipelagic country has a lot of potential for development in the marine sector with the wealth and biodiversity of the world's largest marine. One of the most superior fishery sub-sector commodities is shrimp and lobster which contributed big enough to increase the country's foreign exchange by 17.34 percent. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of fishery sub-sector exports in Indonesia and to know the development trend of fishery sub-sector exports in Indonesia. The method is used to calculate the export growth of the fishery sub-sector by using the formula of economic growth. The data are used secondary data sourced from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Internet and statistics book export results fishery sub-sector is from year 2009-2014. The results of the analysis used the growth formula of fishery subsector exports in Indonesia exports fishery sub-sector in 2014 reached 1.27 million tons or increased of 1.34 percent compared to the year 2013 which reached 1.26 million tons. The main commodity that experienced the highest export growth was shrimp, shrimp exports reached 17.34 percent compared to other commodities. The result of the calculation of export growth rate of fishery sub-sector tended to grow well enough to create export growth of fishery subsector with sustainability system and could add contribution to the current state's foreign exchange. By using Trend analysis it is seen that all leading commodities have an opportunity to keep increasing every year in line with the improvement of performance in Indonesia fishery sub sector.
