Abstract
The aim of the research is to determine the effect of Human Development Index (HDI) and Amount of Populatian on Economic Growth in Nort Sumatera province. The data is used in this study is secondary data in the form of time series by using multiple linear regression analysis method with the help of software Eviews 6. Partially, the result showed thath the Human Development Index (HDI) has positive and significant impact on Economic Growth while amount of population have positive and significant to the economic Growth. While simultaneously Human Development Index (HDI) and amount of populatian have positive and significant influnce to the Economic Growth in North Sumatera province.
