INTERNALISASI NILAI KARAKTER MELALUI PENDIDIKAN POLITIK GENERASI MUDA

The internalization of the character values to the young generation is an important thing to do. It is hoped that the developing of the values and character can give good influence to their mental and attitudes. The main target of this effort is to change the youth mind-set about the political education particularly the political ethic. It is written in our history since the congress II of the youth oath till the reformation era, young people had played an important role in giving contribution toward the political movement in Indonesia. The youth strength in holding the holy national values in the political field sometimes is disturbed by the temptation of the pragmatic politicians. If the values of the character can be understood and actualized since the earlier time, the possibilities to create leaders who are honest, responsible and have high loyalty will be bigger. The values of the character should give the best contribution in changing the mind-set of the youth political view toward political education which is fair and responsible. Kartono said (2009:100) “…….. logical thinking-goodness, ethics-good manners and character must be in succession and has interconnection with the human and political conception. Therefore an analysis and deeper discussion about the internalization of the character values to the youth political education is really an important thing to do.
