Abstract
Bahasa Indonesia can posite itself to be scientifc and modern language does not happen as the way it is. Ethnic languages plus foreign languages have significant roles in develooing bahasa Indinesia as the people use today, the efforts to preserve and enhence ethic language lie on constitution only as cultural heritage plus language officer policy and few seminar as a language stralegy againts three of four big powers; bahasa Indonesia, English, Mandarin, and japanese language in which threat ethnic languages existency on the earth-even ironically close to the extinct language.It is admitted that there is a very deep gap among them particularly as a maent of scientific and information languages on mass media. It is, if we still have the same perception that ecthnic languages are very important to transmit culture and tradition to young generation is not sufficient, the previous ways and policy need to be changed to the virtu one, more effective and functional ways, that is, boost them to be as languages have capability with their very simple and unlimited vocabularies? For we know that there isn’t any efford to add or create new words in ethnic languages. Thus, the paper aims to investigate the precise ways to empower ethnc langueges through Indonesian television channels as an efford to enlight the natives of ethnic language and respect their cultural dignity.
