Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the application of open ended approach to learning Mathematics in sub-subject of rectangular in the sixth grade of Private Junior High School of Darma Medan. This study is a type of classroom action research. Data analysis technique in this research is using qualitative quantitative descriptive analysis method, with the aim to know whether learning outcomes of students increased due to the implementation of Open Ended approach. Based on the results of research and data analysis has been done is proven that through the application of open ended approach was the result of learning mathematics students is increasing.
