Abstract
This study focuses with the process types of the clause found in Facebook Users Status. The objective of this study was conducted to find the types of process and to investigate tge dominant process. This research was conducted by descriptive qualitative research method. The writer used Halliday theory that discusses about six types of processes. They are material (doing/event) process, mental (thinking/sensing/feeling) process, relational (attributive/identifying) process, behavioral process, verbal process and existensial process. The analysis showed that there were were 801 clauses; material occurances was 327 (40,8%), mental occurances was 159 (19,9%), relational occurances was 223 (27,8%), verbal occurances was 31 (3,9%), behavioral occurances was 56 (7,0%) and existensial occurances was 5 (0,6%). The results show that the Facebook users status are dominated by material process. Based on the result, it is clear that most of users in Facebook share their action or event.
